Come join our Summer Reading Program. Read great books and enjoy fun stories and children’s programs all summer long! For ages birth through grade 5 (Sawyer Free Library also has a Teen Summer Reading Program for grades 6 and up!)

There is no cost to get a library card, check out library materials, participate in the summer reading program, or attend events.
Summer Reading Challenge: Read (or be read to) for 500 minutes this summer! For every 10 minutes you read, you get a sticker to add to your universe of stories sheet. Earn 50 stickers and claim prizes at the end of the summer.
A free book, a small bag full of gemstones, a safe toy for younger children.
Topsfield Fair Read and Win Program (must be going into kindergarten through grade 6 and register to receive): free admission to the fair, free hotdog and drink, 2 free rides, a ribbon and certificate
Gloucester Uechi Karate Academy: Gift Certificate for two private introductory lessons, one month of group lessons, and karate uniform
Here are our book and author recommendations by age/grade level. These are just suggestions. Readers can choose anything they want to read! Being read to by a grown-up counts too.
