The Sawyer Free Library offers a wide range of services, both in the Library on 2 Dale Avenue, next to City Hall in Gloucester, and electronically through its website. The library building is made up of three parts: the Georgian Saunders Mansion, currently used for administrative purposes and the Adult Learning Center; the 1913 'stacks wing' that connects the Saunders Mansion and the main library; and the three-story main library, built in the 1970s.
The lower level of the main library houses the Children's Library and the Friend Room, the primary meeting room with a capacity for about 80 guests. The latter can be reserved using the link at the left.
